Inside a meeting
Redwood City Orators runs like a well-oiled machine. In a typical Friday meeting, we can fit two prepared speeches, two evaluations, a full round of Table Topics, and the meeting roles that keep everything moving.
The pace is efficient, yet the atmosphere is fluid. Members bring humor, curiosity, strong opinions, and plenty of personality to the room.
Members practice planned presentations and develop their speaking style over time.
Speakers receive specific, constructive feedback they can use immediately.
Impromptu questions keep everyone thinking on their feet and produce some of the funniest moments of the meeting.
your first visit
Guests can simply observe their first meeting. You do not need to prepare a speech, take a role, or know anything about Toastmasters before visiting.
There's no membership required to attend and see what a meeting feels like.
Your first visit is about watching and getting a feel for things, nothing more.

Redwood City Orators is a small, lively club for people who like to start Friday morning with their brains fully engaged.
Our meetings are fast-moving, creative, and often funny. No topic is automatically off limits, and members are comfortable exploring ideas that might be considered a little too provocative for some clubs.
Because we are a smaller club, members get frequent opportunities to speak, take on meeting roles, lead, and receive feedback. You are much less likely to spend months waiting for your next chance to get behind the virtual lectern.
